MediaTek distributes retained earnings available for distribution in the form of cash dividends or stock dividends. Following the resolution approved at the 2023 Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting, the distribution may be made on a half-yearly basis after the close of each half-fiscal year. Both the amount and timing of distributions depend on our earnings and financial conditions.

Regular cash dividend: MediaTek raises the regular cash dividend payout ratio to 80%-85% of our annual earnings after tax since 2021, from 60%~70% in the previous years.

Special cash dividend from 2021 to 2024: Unless there are special circumstances, shareholders will receive a special cash dividend of NT$16 per share every year from 2021 to 2024, on top of a regular cash dividend based on an 80%~85% payout ratio. The final amount of cash dividend every year is still subject to the Board’s approval in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations and the Company’s Articles of Incorporation. The 4-year special cash dividend program amount exceeds NT$100bn.
