During these two months my group assigned me a non-urgent module related to core coding. Though it wasn’t very difficult, I found getting used to the entire process challenging. The average age of my group was about a decade older than me, and I was able to mature a lot during my time here. Everybody was very happy to answer all of my questions. I eventually finished my task in time, and I’m very happy that the salary provided by MediaTek is actually very good for an intern’s salary.
On the non-professional side, HR’s frequent reminders to the staff to visit the break room and have some fruit left a deep impression on me about how the company cared for its staff. The company has lots of clubs for staff and a lot of people use their spare time to play badminton after work, though unfortunately not many people play basketball. A new movie club had just been established when I came, and the opportunity to go and watch a free movie as a group was really good. I was also able to make it onto the company trip in September (to Xitang) and, although I unfortunately had other commitments and was unable to go, the invitation made me feel warm and included. Overall, I felt that this internship was incredibly beneficial to me.
